Today AISA organised Occupy UGC 6th Delhi Padyatra from Rajghat to UGC. Along with the performance of Shangwari with Revolutionary songs and poems. AISA state president Anmol Ratan said that now movement is getting strengthened in multifold way. Our leaders are going in campus across the nation. Yesterday only we released our schedule for occupy ugc express phase 2, where different leaders will go and appeal for national mobilisation of 8th and 9th November to defeat the farcical logic of merit, income and other exclusionary criteria and with the demand to Restore, Increase, Expand non-NET fellowships. Interestingly, students across the campuses are connecting this fund cut issue with WTO’s intervention in India’s higher education. Anmol further added that these padyatras made our issue popular among localities too. Even common public is getting aware about this issue. Anmol said that we will increase the momentum to spread our issue and will go in more localities as well as to more campuses. This has become a remarkable moment for the future of higher education and now students across the campuses are speaking in one voice against fund cut.
