The court’s decision should not be discussed on social media: Syed Mohammad Ashraf KachuchhoviO

n October 3, Syed Mohammad Ashraf Kachuchhovi, President of the All India Ulama and Mashaikh Board and Chairman of the World Sufi Forum, in his reaction to the decision of the CBI Court of Lucknow on the Babri Masjid acquittal case, said that it is not our job to chat in social media on the decisions of the courts. Rather, this is the matter of lawyers.

Syed Mohammad Ashraf Kachuchhovi appealed to all Muslims and non-Muslims not to discuss this decision on social media and avoid to create unnecessary reactions that could cause disharmony in the society. He told the Muslim youth in particular to observe it is as a a time of patience and vigilance. “We do not have to help the hatemongers to succeed at any cost and if you talk about this decision through social media, we will fall into their traps. We often become ignorant, and don’t even know what we are doing and due to our ignorance we fall into their trap”, he averred.

Addressing the media through an online platform, he continued: “Now that the wrath of Corona has broken our country, farmers are on the streets, young people are unemployed, we need to avoid this communal debate and keep trying to improve the atmosphere in our country, and let the courts do their job. And we all have our own job; that is to love, not to hate anyone on the religious grounds. If we do our job honestly, change is certain and that is the way to progress. All India Ulama & Mashaikh Board is headquartered in Johri Farm, Jamia Nagar, Okhla, New Delhi.
