Allah, the Almighty has sent many prophets during different eras for propagate and spread great Islamic message. All prophets throughout history since Adam (A) to Muhammed (PBUH) spread Monotheism(Thouheed). Allah gave the Holy book(Kitab) which include prohibitions of the creator, to some prophets and gave Leaflets(suhf) to some prophets. The fundamental belief of all this are Monotheism, but Law of customs and rituals (sharia) is different depend on time and place.Tora and Injeel, the Holy Books revealed before Holy Quran, yield interference of man’s hand. The priest makes Bible, modern Christian’s scripture by mingling real God’s word from Tora, Injeel, Zaboor with man’s words. But we can see Islamic Fundamentals, customs, rituals in the modern Bible even it is yield for changes. It does not mean Quran took from Bible because if Quran took from Bible so many errors in the Bible will be entered into the Quran but Quran correcting the mistakes of the Bible. We can see so many examples. Bible says Jesus was crucified (Mathew 27:35, Mark 15:25, Luk 23:33, John 19:18) but Quran says Jesus never killed (Surah An-Nisaa:157)and a concept of God, Story of Prophets, Scientific things in the Quran and Bible are entirely different. That we can simply understand by reading both Quran and Bible one time.
The testimony of faith &monotheism
“LailahaIllallah Muhammad Rasoolullah”(There is No God worthy of worship except Allah, and Muhammed PBUH is His final Messenger) this is the testimony of faith in Islam. Those who believe this in his heart and say by his tongue became a Muslim.
There are two parts
(1)Believe in one God
(2)Believe His prophets
We cannot find the God who is spiritual and not physical with our eyes.So find the God through the prophets who sent by God is the logic behind the believes in prophets. We Can see that the same message propagated by old prophet throughout the Bible.
From old testament
God spoke, and these were his words:
“I am the LORD your God who brought you out of Egypt, where you were slaves.
“Worship no god but me.
“Do not make for yourselves images of anything in heaven or on earth or in the water under the earth.
Do not bow down to any idol or worship it, because I am the LORD your God and I tolerate no rivals. I bring punishment on those who hate me and on their descendants down to the third and fourth generation.(Exodus 20:1-5)
So remember today and never forget: the LORD is God in heaven and on earth. There is no other God.(Deuteronomy 4:39)
‘I am the LORD your God, who rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves.
“Worship no god but me.
” Do not make for yourselves images of anything in heaven or on earth or in the water under the earth.
Do not bow down to any idol or worship it, for I am the LORD your God and I tolerate no rivals. I bring punishment on those who hate me and on their descendants down to the third and fourth generation.
But I show my love to thousands of generations of those who love me and obey my laws.(Deuteronomy 5:6-10)
“Israel, remember this! The LORD —and the LORD alone—is our God.
Love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength.
Never forget these commands that I am giving you today.
Teach them to your children. Repeat them when you are at home and when you are away, when you are resting and when you are working.
Tie them on your arms and wear them on your foreheads as a reminder.(Deuteronomy 6:4-8)
” ‘I, and I alone, am God; no other god is real. I kill, and I give life, I wound, and I heal, and no one can oppose what I do.(Deuteronomy 32:39)
And so all the nations of the world will know that the LORD alone is God—there is no other.(1 Kings 8:60)
“People of Israel, you are my witnesses; I chose you to be my servant, so that you would know me and believe me and understand that I am the only God. Besides me there is no other God; there never was and never will be.
“I alone am the LORD, the only one who can save you.(Isaiah 43:10,11)
Come and present your case in court; let the defendants consult one another. Who predicted long ago what would happen? Was it not I, the LORD, the God who saves his people? There is no other god.
“Turn to me now and be saved, people all over the world! I am the only God there is.
My promise is true, and it will not be changed. I solemnly promise by all that I am: Everyone will come and kneel before me and vow to be loyal to me.(Isaiah 45:21-23)
Remember what happened long ago; acknowledge that I alone am God and that there is no one else like me.(Isaiah 46:9)
From new testament
Kalima Shahada has two part as mentioned earlier (1) Belive in only true God(Lailah illa Allah) (2) Believe in a prophet who sent by the God(mursal).Jesus Christ clearly teaches us that those who believe these two parts will be rewarded by eternal life in the Paradise in Gospel of John chapter 17 verse 3:
And eternal life means to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, whom you sent. (John 17:3)
Again Jesus says to worship only true one God:
Then Jesus answered, “Go away, Satan! The scripture says, ‘Worship the Lord your God and serve only him!’ “( Matthew 4:10)
A teacher of the Law was there who heard the discussion. He saw that Jesus had given the Sadducees a good answer, so he came to him with a question: “Which commandment is the most important of all?”
Jesus replied, “The most important one is this: ‘Listen, Israel! The Lord, our God, is the only Lord. (Mark 12:28,29)
They exchange the truth about God for a lie; they worship and serve what God has created instead of the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever! Amen.(Romans 1:25)
So then, about eating the food offered to idols: we know that an idol stands for something that does not exist; we are aware that there is only the one God.
Even if there are so-called “gods,” whether in heaven or on earth and even though there are many of these “gods” and “lords,”
There is for us only one God, the Father, who is the Creator of all things and for whom we live; and there is only one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things were created and through whom we live.(1 Corinthians 8:4-6)
For there is one God, and there is one who brings God and human beings together, the man Christ Jesus,(1 Corinthians 2:5)
In short,we can understand from the verses mentioned above that all previous Prophets propagated to monotheism
