There are so many verses which predicting coming of a Prophet, scattered throughout the old and new testaments of Bible. The teaching of history says that these predictions were fulfilled in Prophet Muhammed PBUH, last and final Messenger of Almighty Allah.

One of the major prediction is mentioned in the book of Deuteronomy:

I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I

will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I

command him.

And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I

myself will require it of him. But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.’And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the LORD has not spoken? when a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the LORD has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him. (Deuteronomy 18:18-22)

We can summarize this prophecy as:

  1. He will be same as Moses
  2. He will come from Brothers of Israel
  3. God’s word will be in His tongue
  4. He will speak in the name of God
  5. He will say God’s command to the people
  6. His prophecy will fulfill
  7. He will Question those who not accept
  8. He will be same as Moses

Now Christian missionaries try to twist this prophecy to Jesus. But the bible says that: “There has never been a prophet in Israel like Moses”(Deuteronomy 34:16), so we can say this prophecy, not about Israel prophets including Jesus. We can compare three prophets impartially:

COMPARISON MOSES MUHAMMED JESUS
Birth By father and mother By father and mother Without father
Family Wife and children Wife and children No wife and no children
Activities Prophet and Ruler Prophet and Ruler Only prophet
Migration To Madyan To Madeena No migration
Collection of God’s word Completed during his life Completed during his life After many years after his death
Response of people First denied then recognized First denied then recognized denied
Attack against enemies Spiritual and material win Spiritual and material win Only spiritual win
Death Natural Natural Not natural but crucifixion

If we recognize Christian believe there is no similarity between Moses and Jesus because they believe Jesus as God, Son of God, a person in Trinity, etc. And also one of the famous Bible scholar Rev.James Roy says in His “Dictionary of Bible” that : “The only man of history who can be compared even remotely to him is Mahomed”(Rev.jamesL.Dow, Dictionary of the Bible .page :403)

  1. He will come from Brothers of Israel

Israelis are sons of Judah, son of Jacob, son of Isaac, son of Abraham

Moses and Jesus are Israelis. But the prophecy says prophet will come from brothers of Israelis. Arabians are sons of Ismael, son of Abraham. So brothers of Israelis are Arabians. Prophet Muhammad PBUH born in Arabian. So the prophecy fulfilled

  1. God’s word will be in His tongue

The Holy Quran, words of Allah revealed to Prophet Muhammed PBUH through Gabriel (jibreel) by Allah. Then Prophet PBUH recited Allah’s word by His Tongue.but we cannot see this method of revelation in the New Testament

4 He will speak in the name of God

Prophet Muhammed PBUH started everything by saying “Bismi” which means in the name of Allah and He taught and motivated His disciples to do so.

5 He will say God’s command to the people

We know that Prophet Muhammed PBUH said all commands of Allah to the people and He did not say anything himself.Quran itself proclaim that: “And he speaks not of his own desire. That is not but the revelation that is revealed to him”.(Surah An-Najm 53:3,4)

  1. His prophecy will fulfill

The prophecy of Prophet Muhammed PBUH fulfilled. Victory of empire of Rome is one of the examples of His prophecy. (Surah Ar-Rum: 2)

  1. He will Question those who not accept

Quran says that those who not receive commands of Prophet Muhammed PBUH will be punished in the Day of Judgment.

Through above mentioned points we can simply say that the prophecy was about Prophet Muhammed PBUH.
