People of different religions beliefs celebrate Jashan e Chiragan in Bareilly

Bareilly (UP), Jan 24 (ANI): Jashan e Chiragan was recently celebrated at Khanqah e Niazia in the Bareilly city of Uttar Pradesh. This 300-year old tradition is celebrated every year on the 17th of the fourth month i.e. Ravial-thani, according to the Islamic Calendar. Its mission is to spread the message of Sufism i.e. Humanism, love and brotherhood all over the world. Thousands of devotees belonging to different religious communities throng the place and light lamps to fulfill their wishes and remove darkness from their life. During this divine occasion, the shrine was dazzling with colorful lights and the sound of religious music created harmony in the atmosphere. Small shops selling religious offerings and flower petals outside the shrine were fully crowded. Several people lit lamps and prayed for the fulfillment of their wishes. The devotion of these people was clear from the spark on their faces. Jashan e Chiragan has become one such event that brings people belonging of different religious communities to one single platform, thus becoming an epitome of communal harmony.
