Saudi King Salman declares the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) a public holiday

Saudi King Salman bin Abdul Aziz announces a public holiday in the private sector and government on 30 November, on the occasion of the birth of the Prophet, as on 30 November will approve the 12 of the first spring of 1439, the day of the birth of the Prophet Muhammad pbuh.
 The Kingdom announced that it is permissible celebrate the birth of the Prophet pbuh. “This is not prohibited because it shows the love of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him”, he said.
 The celebration of the birth of the Prophet is traditionally inherited from the generations and some countries consider this day an official holiday for all employees in the private sector and government as well. On this occasion,  Muslims exchange congratulations and fast a number of days in remembrance of the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him.

Sources explained that Thursday, November 30, 2017, will be an official holiday for all employees of the private and government sectors on the occasion of the Birth of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ).
