The Islamic history is replete with enormous cultural and counter cultural ideologies. Counter cultural things were underpinned by modernist thinkers who always condemn the traditional notions followed by the elite Ulamas. These movements which try to expose the rapprochement between the Islam and western modernity had now resonated in every sphere of human life. The first seed of revivalism that aims at restoring the Islamic percepts and ideologies in the light of western modernization and rationalism was sown by Ibn Abdul Wahab in 11thcentury. He took the alternative ideas of Ibn Thaymiyya, a former religious scholar who is rational bedrock of faith and a modernist who had endeavored to question the canon of Islamic belief that Prophet had propagated. This article tends to display two significant facts from the light of views expressed in the book Al Haqul Mubeen which is authored by Usama Al Azhari, an Egyptian scholar who now serves as the professor of Jamia Al Azhar. Firstly, this article elucidates how western modernity hijacks the Islamic discourses and secondly it will explicit the concrete theory of western culture from which Islamic modernists had sprouted out in the world.

Thrust of western modernity

The enlightenment is a seed bed of modernity. Rather, the enlightenment was a result of religious dominance. It is more imperative to understand that the Christian priests indulged in maintaining and securing their own right to interact and involve in religious repertories not allowed the ordinary devotees to participate in it. Hence, devotees become disenchant and they criticize the system relevant in that region. As a response to their intolerance an unexpected skirmishes came to front and it engendered a spirit to turn against pastors. Eventually this trend and tendency led to outright the basis of religion. The host of anti church activists built many Protestants who were spearheaded by Luther king.

The following facts are much noteworthy to espouse the construction of a platform for modernity. Anti religious chieftains made many slogans and they institutionalized criticisms against it. They showed severe disagreement and dissent through an intellectual revolution, mainly by writings. Such themes were manifested in all kinds of literature like poems, novels, stories, dramas et cetera. Obviously, their furious mood was imminent in those creative ventures that pose a gravest challenge to the religion affairs.

The motto freedom, equality and fraternity formulated by the French revolutionists, come to the limelight and it turns the enlightenment theories unleashed to a bend of issues related to religiosity. They started to treat and deal Islam at a lowest lung inside the society. Their rational attitude was to expel the religion from the life. While such religious movement came to vague, it was necessary to present the religion concepts rationally. For this purpose some groups like Wahabism, Jamaetheism were formed in Islamic world. Misfortunately, they couldnt able to prove Islamic ideology in a rational way because it was out of the rational boundaries. To overcome the ongoing failure modernist groups compelled to reform the laws and order. In order to display its pureness the endeavors of alternation were adversely effected on traditionally marked path. So called modernists confronted a lot of problematic condition that wants to be redefined rationally among the intellectual community.

Redefining religious epistemology through rational machinery was carried out by different groups in passage of time. Those movements can easily be categorized into three courses of time as defined below;

1 pre-colonial period: it is the period when Wahabissam emerged (eighteenth century)

2 colonial periods: this period witnessed a lot of movements spearheaded by Jamaludheen Afghani, Rasheed Rila and Ahmad Al Mahdi etc.

3 post colonial manifestation: militant Islamic ideologies emerged. These ideologies were led by Abul Aala Mawdoodi and Sayyid Quthb

As mentioned earlier, the bedrock of such movements were the ultra rationality and the transcendent logical measures which added fuel to the fire. In other words, they constituted all percepts and doctrines of religion through stereotypical aspect that devastated the manifold of beliefs. This concept upon which they had pursued their policies paved a way to look Islamic pedagogy from a radical humanist criterion. Those who supported these movements had made predictions on Quran and prophetic texts without touching the four classes. Thus the conflicts with diversified and distinguished ideas came on the track. The supporters of modernization of Islam made their unprecedented dissentions in a rational way all over the Muslim country. Definitely, these groups were not succeeded to prove that Islamic principles cited in Quran and Hadees are suitable and fit for the modern science and rationality. They tried to find out the affinity, but it become in fatal. However they were not ready to agree their failures. Instead, they indulged in misinterpreting our basic texts to match the modern science. Eventually, it had lent them to duplet the traditional Islamic heritage. Then a metamorphic Islam came to existence and it involved in all contemporary matters.

It is important to note that the claims to resurge the Islam were not only confined the religion but also had risen to ascend the political concern which was later came to be known as political militant Islamism. The recent forms of such type movements are Al Qaida, Taliban, Bokkoharam and IS especially that come to vague after 2014 with the declaration of caliphate by its leader Aboobacker Al Baghdadi. The off late events like blasts and bombarding even in the Muslim populated areas are its outcomes of brutality. While attacking going on, so far the Arabian countries even Saudi Arabia had not interfere in it. As a matter of fact, where issue is marked as contrary in the course of time, the book Al haqul Mubeen expounds the vivid demonstrations of reality.

Al hakkul Mubeen; rebellious to terrorism

The author Dr. Usama Al Azhari discerns the topic on the basis of Lilalul Quran, an exegesis by Sayyid Quthub, and the faults interpreted by him in the name of Islam. Hakimiyyath and Jahiliyyath are his major motto by which he argued that one who doesnt order from what Almighty Allah revealed in Quran is an unbeliever. By this statement, he conceived that all Islamic countries are running under non-Islamic ideologies. So they are unbelievers. He requested the citizens to establish an Islamic state. The Hathmiyyath Ssiyada (compulsory fight) was proclaimed for accomplishing his destination. It resulted in the blatant slogan Jihad. Nevertheless, anti-terrorist troops dont give much importance rather formulating another opinion. For an instance, in the real Islamic point of view, (by mixing the living Islam and textual Islam) the term Jihad elucidates to attain the real path not the insurgency.

The book covers Darul Islam (the abode of Islam), Darul Harb (the abode of warlike), definition of an Islamic nation and non Islamic nation, Thamkeen (construction of state), reports on controversies and polemics that took place between Ibnu Abbas and Khawarijs and a vivid conclusion regarding the research ability of Quraan. As an Egyptian citizen, Usama Al Azhari is a well experienced person in issues of Jasmin revolution and its aftermaths that put the country on the tender book of anarchy. Of course, this book has a prominent participation in challenging the widespread of terrorism.
