IMAM refuses to side with any radical force, says Muslims in Bihar have been non-communal & faithful in mainstream secularismI

ndian Muslims’ Awareness Movement (IMAM) has written a letter to Shri Pappu Yadav, president of Jan Adhikar stating that inclusion of PFI and SDPI in the third front created by him for this assembly election in Bihar is not a welcome step.

The letter signed by Ashhar Hashmi, founder and president of IMAM, General Secretary Younus Mohani advocate and Secretary Jahangir Adil Alig said that Jan Adhikar led front would have been acceptable for the masses who find both the ruling and opposition alliances unacceptable.

Arrogance of RJD and weak positioning of Congress party has created a sense in locals which makes it helpful for a third option and Jan Adhikar led front would have served the purpose but now by entering into an alliance with outsiders and radicals like the PFI and SDPI, this front has lost its appeal.

Our movement refuses to side with any radical force and is of firm opinion that Muslim community in Bihar has been non-communal and has reposed faith in mainstream secular political groups, says the newly formed IMAM.

Had it not been the case they would have established thier own Muslim political party like in UP, Telengana, Kerala etc. This considered opinion and practice of Muslims of Bihar need to be accepted by all but it’s not seemingly the case.

We condemn any attempt to divide Muslim votes and also we condemn radical Muslim parties coming from outside in Bihar without any mass base and intellectual appeal. They come only to create pre-partition frenzy in the Muslim youth.
