Considering the recent developments in Jammu Kashmir, the Union Territory is now among the leading states/ UTs in implementation of “Ayushman Bharat” & “Jan Arogya Yojana”. (11.45 Lakh Golden Cards Generated).

After August 5, 2019, constitutional change sections of society like displaced persons of POJK and west Pakistan refuges are getting due benefits due to extensions of central laws.

After abrogation of Article 370 the implementation of several progressive central laws like the STs and other traditional Forest dweller (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2007, SC & ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act 1954, is bringing a new era of progress and development in J&K.Valmikii community had been most inhumanely treated community in Jammu and Kashmir under the systematic apartheid which was not revoked till August 2019. Now, long pending demand of Valmiki community to grant their promised fundamental rights was fulfilled.

In order to promote unique local products, Kashmir Saffron gets GI Tag and India International Kashmir Saffron Trading Centre (IIKSTC) constructed at Pampore. Now Kashmiri products are getting international recognition and becoming available in various countries. Government is also promoting Kashmiri products as Kashmiri saffron has been given GI tag to give exclusive importance and recognition in international markets.

Significantly, around 2 lakh houses have been planned with first-ever Housing, Slum Development, rehabilitation, and Township Policy. 190 projects planned worth 7000 crores.

Electric vehicle projects in order to maintain the purity of Heaven (Kashmir) are proposed. Kiru Hydroelectric Project worth Rs. 4287 Crores was pending since 2016. All contracts awarded and work started again project completion by August 2024.

Pakaldul Hydroelectric Project worth Rs. 8112 Crores was pending since 2014. All clearances received and contracts awarded. Construction started in Feb 2018, work in full swing. Project completion by December 2024.

Jammu and Kashmir today witnesses revival of rural economy under the New Vision for Agriculture in Jammu and Kashmir. First time Dairy Farmers included in KCC (Kisan Credit Card). August 2019 brought one historical change in Jammu and Kashmir. Prior to August 5, 2019, Politics of J&K was revolving around special status of J&K and it had given much more importance over the public welfare and development of the region.

Change in the constitutional status of J&K has changed the whole political scenario, talk of more autonomy by politicians of Kashmir, demand of secession by separatists and Pakistan became thing of the past after August 05, 2019.

The issue of special status had consumed enough time of Kashmir history without any fruitfulness. August 5, 2019 change brought relief to the common masses of J&K as now they can focus on those issues which will really benefit them.

Last two years brought lots of positive social transformation in J&K. It solved the long pending issue of women rights and rights of sweeper community in J&K.
