Nest, an idyllic hinterland resort located on the border of Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and close to the Dudhsagar waterfalls in Goa, is showcasing a different side to Goa that has never been seen before. Founded in 2010 by renowned entrepreneur Pankaj Lad, Nature’s Nest offers a unique rural Goan village experience that is one-of-a-kind.

Guests are transported to a bygone era, where they can tune into the soothing stillness of nature and the melodic chirping of the birds. Set in 4 acres of forest land, the property is the perfect destination for visitors to unwind, reset and rejuvenate. In total, there are 10 quaint cottages that pay homage to Goan homes of yesteryears, with red-oxide floors, tiled roofs and cow dung verandas. The food has been specially curated from villages across Goa to offer a unique blend of traditional village and Saraswat cuisines.

Nature’s Nest has a team of naturalists, who have been trained to deliver an unforgettable nature and wildlife experience. The property offers over 20 guided activities and excursions for guests to connect and be one with nature. This includes guided birding, night jungle safaris and guided forest trails. Visitors can also participate in conservation trails and contribute to data collection on specific species and wildlife research.

Nature’s Nest doesn’t just cater to nature, wildlife and birding enthusiasts from across the world. Tourists, who are seeking a more relaxed and slower pace of holiday, can also find a slice of heaven here. The property showcases the stunning beauty of the Western Ghats and seeks to give back to the community by employing indigenous people that live in the immediate vicinity of these forests. Nature’s Nest also runs conservation projects in collaboration with the Planet Life Foundation, to enhance the conservation efforts around Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary.

Pankaj Lad is re-imagining nature tourism in Goa and is passionate about building a business that is sustainable in nature and a key contributor to community livelihoods and conservation.
