he Forest Festival is celebrated in the first week of July to encourage environmental protection and tree plantation in India. It was started in 1960s by the then Agriculture Minister Kanhaiyalal Manik Lal Munshi.

Given that the Tree Plantation is now more pressing need of the hour, in view of this RJS National Forest Festival webinar is being organized on 28 June 2020 by Ram Janaki Sansthan (RJS) and Tapasil Caste Tribal Disclosure Sainik Krishi Vikas Crafts Center (TJAPS KBSK) Hooghly, West Bengal.

RJS National Convenor Udaya Kumar Manna said that on the subject of “Climate change impacts on water, forest, land and greenery”, Dr. Rajendra Singh, a noted environmentalist, will address RJS Family and Positive Media which is running across 25 states.

Raman Magsaysay awardee, Mr. Rajendra Singh, whose efforts to solve the water problem in the drought-prone areas like Alwar, Rajasthan, are well recognized, is gradually running this campaign across India including Rajasthan and therefore he is known as “Jal Purush” (the water man).

RJS observer Deep Mathur told WordForPeace.com that the webinar’s chief guest is the founder of the Shanti Sadhana Ashram Guwahati (Assam), Sant Hem Bhai. The guest speaker at the webinar is the former Additional Director of Central Pollution Control Board, Dr. D. Saha, the author of a book on environment-related issues Dr. Vishnu Puri, Dr. Wahhab and nature devotee Rajesh Sharma etc.

RJS Family and Positive Media activists from several states have been invited to the webinar under the aegis of Positive India Movement Awareness Campaign. Nature lovers have done a pious job of inspiring others by sending video recordings of their home and surroundings with beautiful greenery.

Notably, some of them who are inspirational to the RJS Family are: Mr. Ramjag Singh, Prof. R.K. Kadian, Yogi-poet Prem Bhatia, Dr. Narendra Tatesar, Arun Sharma, Mukesh Bhatnagar, Ghulam Rasul Dehlvi, Ashish Pandey, Ajay Kumar, Ram Singh, Rinkal Sharma, Ishaq Khan, Ritu Kapil Tekra, Nayantara, Prakhar Varshney, Bhanupratap Singh, Dayanand Singh, Deepak Srivastava etc.
