Shafia Maqbool from Baramulla, despite immense domestic issues, cracked Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS)

Shafia Maqbool from Nageen Bagh, Sopore north Kashmir Baramulla district has fulfilled her dreams facing struggles and tremendous domestic issues. Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) has been cracked and placed 13th in the merit list, making her parents feel proud.
While speaking to the Kashmir News Observer (KNO) news agency, she said she had been studying for the KAS exam for two years and ultimately succeeded in fulfilling her dream.
“I completed my schooling at Sopore School, after which I completed ngineering in information and technology from Jammu. I trained myself for M.Tech and then began to dream about civil service. Shafia Maqbool said in a gentle smile,” I belong to a humble family and didn’t have all the means to crack the civil services, but I did it with the prayers of my parents.
This was Shafia Maqbool’s second attempt to crack the civil services exam. “My first attempt was in 2015, but I couldn’t make it at that point in time,” she said.
Her small house has been abuzz with visitors, relatives, well-wishers and neighbours since the announcement of her performance, who come to congratulate this young girl home, with visitors including relatives, neighbours and others congratulating her.
In spite of the hardship, she said, credit for her performance goes entirely to her family. “She said the first major challenge to prepare for civil services was network blockade and then slow speed of the internet. But I kept walking on the path with my parents‘ prayers in my hand, and I finally got what I cherished, “Shafia Maqbool said with a smile.”
