SHEIKH ABDUL AZIZ SHUKRBAR

Sheikh Abdul Aziz Shukrbar (born 907 Hijri), was one of the glorious leaders of his time and amongst the ancestors of Shah Walliulah Dehlvi. His grandfather Sheikh Tahir travelled outside Multan for gaining knowledge and spiritual intellect from Sheikh Buddh Haqqani. He was maternal grandfather of Shah Abdul Rahim Dehlvi. One of his sons became popularly known as Qutb-ul-Alam. He was his decent spiritual successor. Sheikh Abdul Aziz Shukrbar’s theology characterised by Monotheism and his spiritual influence greatly impacted Khawaja Baqi Ulah and Shah Abdur Raheem Dehlvi who became inclined towards Wahdatul Wajud, the Sufi doctrine of Unity of Existence.

BIRTH AND EARLY EDUCATION OF SHEIKH ABDUL AZIZ SHUKRBAR:

Sheikh Abdul Aziz Shukrbar was born in 907 hijri in Nonpure was just year and a half old when his father brought him to Delhi and handed him over to Abdul Wahab Bukhari and his son Mir Syed Muhammad from whom he received religious education. After that he attained spiritual perfection from his father’s caliph Mian Qazi Khan Zafarabadi.

REFLECTIONS:

He paid less attention to writing, but stated a spiritual magazine ‘Ainia’  in response to sheikh Imam Panipati’s  magazine ‘Garia’ and also compiled another book named Adb Sulok. It contains important points and minutes of spiritual behaviour, Islamic Mysticism and tasawwuf.

Sheikh Abdul Haq Muhaddiss Dehalvi writes about Sheikh Abdul Aziz in his book Akhbar ul Khair:

         Sheikh was monumentous in his time, good and exemplary manners, humility, patience and compassion for God’s creations, and especially with the poor.

Shah Waliullah writes:

        Sheikh used to make great efforts to meet the needs of the underprivileged. when he met Sheikh Qazi khan, he gave off all his possessions and wealth in the way of God.

Sheikh Muhammad Ikram writes in his book Rud e Kausar:

    In times of Akbar, Sheikh Abdul Aziz Shukrbar received great acceptance. Bairam Khan was his disciple, and on the other hand Akbar also used to attend his spiritual discourses and received blessings. Among the locals, he was popularly known as Shukrbar and Bahrul Mawwaaj (a sea with strong waves).

DEATH AND PLACE OF REST OF SHEIKH ABDUL AZIZ SHUKRBAR:

On 6 Jamad ul Thani, 975 Hijri, Sheikh Abdul Aziz left for eternal abode at the age of 68. Shah Abdul Haq Muhaddiss Dehlvi gave the exact date of his death. شیخ عبد العزیز شکربار

شیخ عبد العزیز شکربار (پیدائش: 907ھ) اپنے دور کے جلیل القدر مشائخ چشت میں سے تھے  اور شاہ ولی اللہ دہلوی کے اجداد میں سے ہیں۔ ان کے دادا شیخ طاہر نے تحصیل علم کے لیے ملتان سے بہار کا سفر کیا اور شیخ بدھ (یا بودھن) حقانی کے سامنے زانوئے تلمذ طے کیا۔ وہ شاہ عبد الرحیم دہلوی کے نانا تھے۔ ان کے ایک بیٹے قطب العالم کے نام سے مشہور ہوئے، یہی ان کے نسبی و روحانی جانشین تھے۔ شیخ عبد العزیز پر توحید وجودی کا غلبہ تھا۔ ان کے روحانی اثر سے خواجہ باقی باللہ اور شاہ عبد الرحیم دہلوی بھی توحید وجودی کی طرف مائل تھے۔

ولادت و ابتدائی تعلیم

شیخ عبد العزیز کی ولادت 907 ہجری میں جونپور میں ہوئی۔ ابھی ڈیڑھ سال کے تھے کہ والد ان کو دہلی لے آئے اور عبد الوہاب بخاری اور ان کے بیٹے میر سید محمد کے سپرد کر دیا جن سے انھوں نے دینی تعلیم حا صل کی۔ اس کے بعد اپنے والد کے خلیفہ میاں قاضی خان ظفر آبادی سے روحانیت میں کمال حاصل کیا۔

تاثرات

انہوں نے تصنیف و تالیف کی طرف کم توجہ دی۔ شیخ آمان پانی پتی کے رسالہ غیریہ کے جواب میں رسالہ عینیہ اور ایک دوسری کتاب آداب السلوک تصنیف کی۔ آداب السلوک تصوف و سلوک کے اہم نکات و دقائق پر مشتمل ہے۔

شیخ اپنے زمانے میں مشائخ چشت کی یادگار تھے۔ اخلاق حسنہ مثلاً تواضع حلم، صبر و رضا خلق خدا پر شفقت و عنایت فقرا میں اپنی نظیر نہ رکھتے تھے۔

:شاہ ولی اللہ لکھتے ہیں

شیخ محتاجوں کی حاجت روائی میں بڑی کوشش کرتے تھے۔ جب وہ شیخ قاضی خان کے پاس پہنچے، اپنا مال و متاع، گھوڑا گاڑی جو کچھ اپنے پاس تھا سارس کا سارا راہ خدا میں تقسیم کر دیا۔

بادشاہ اکبر کے عہد میں شیخ عبد العزیز شکربار چشتی کوبڑا قبول عام حاصل ہوا بیرم خان ان کا معتقد تھا اود دوسرے امرائے اکبری بھی ان کی خدمت میں حاضر ہو کر اخذ فیض کرتے تھے۔ عوام میں آپ بحر المواج اور شکربار کے نام سے مشہور تھے۔

وفات اور مزار

شیخ عبد العزیز نے 6 جمادی الثانی 975ھ میں 68 سال کی عمر میں وفات پائی۔ شیخ عبد الحق محدث دہلوی نے ان کی وفات پر قطعۂ تاریخ کہا۔ مولانا آزاد میڈیکل کالج (دہلی) کے ساتھ قبرستان مہندیان میں واقع قدیم مکی مسجد کے صحن میں ان کا مزار موجود ہے۔
