Srinagar, April 13.

A Seerat Conference was organised on Thursday under the auspices of Voice for Peace and Justice in Srinagar .Leading religious scholars of Jammu and Kashmir and Students from different institutions took part in the event.

The solution to all our problems depends solely on sincerely following the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) and that is how we can lead the world in moral leadership, speakers emphasised.

Naat Seerat conference was held for the students of different institutions and prizes were distributed among the first 3 positions……

Dr Nisar Ahmad Bhat, Social Activist and a renowned industrialist speaking on occasion said, the sufi saints who travelled miles, contributed much for peace and taught us to respect the religions equally, we must follow their teachings and fight against radicalism. Fringe elements are trying to radicalise islam we must raise our voices against them. He added.

Bilquis Mir, International Water Sports coach and Judge and inspiration for many youngsters in Kashmir stressed upon the peace, she said Kashmir is world famous destination and people across the globe like to visit the land of saints, we collectively should implement the teachings of our saints and work for imposition of peace in Kashmir.

While as Finance officer of Central University of Kashmir and Director District Industires and commerce Prof. Fayaz Ahmad Nika in his address said the main motto of organising the kind of conferences is to harbour the unity among different ideologies. Our ideological perspectives may be different but at the end we must be united to work for the larger interests of Kashmir and Nation.

Farooq Ganderbali, President Voice for Peace and Justice while speaking on the occasion said, ” He is thankful to all participants for attending the conference as the such kind of conferences teaches us the way of life. Our religion advocates communal Harmony, brotherhood but unfortunately some radical elements and cross border strategies ruined these things by vowing venom on social media platforms and other mediums. Kashmiri Pandits, Sikhs and Muslims were used to celebrate all festivals together but volatile situation sponsored from across the border disturbed everything. Nowadays things are reviving and we must support for the revival of communal harmony, brotherhood and maintenance of peace in Kashmir.” He added.

More than 150 invitees, including religous scholars, students, Ullamas, Students of Kashmir university , Womens College Srinagar and Guides and people from different nook and corners attended the conference.

Prof Dr Manzoor Ahmad , Sheikh Mohammad Shafi, Zeeshan Farooq Dar, Ajaz Kawoosi Editor Asian Express, Molvi Dr Ab Ahad Shah , Dr Gh Mohd Lone, Social Activist Abdul Rashid Mir, Shehreyar Dar president JKYDF and Sufi Molvi Mohd Amin preacher were among the dignitaries present on the occasion.
