A variety of Sufiyana music segments, cultural performances, and other events were presented at the conference by Kashmiri singers and youngsters from the valley, drawing in a large number of writers, poets, authors, scholars, students, and other intellectuals.

The conference was attended by hundreds of individuals who journeyed great distances from the entire Kashmir valley to attend.

Advocate Mubishar Altaf said, the abrogation of Article 370 has made it possible to create a new Jammu and Kashmir. He added that nepotism, corruption, separatism, prejudice, and terrorism have all been reduced. The actions taken by our security forces, government, and central government demonstrate the advancement of a new Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, Mohd Yousuf, General Secretary Al-Samad Foundation said that after many years, Pakistan-sponsored terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir appeared to be on the decline and that anti-national sentiments had been replaced with the concepts of inclusive growth and prosperity. He also criticized the Gupkar Alliance parties harshly for attempting to sabotage the optimistic narrative in J&K.

He added that the Modi government has developed a holistic strategy for the overall development of young people in J&K. He noted that access to top-notch programs is made possible by the opening of two new AIIMS, seven new medical colleges, and an IIM and IIT in Jammu.

Following the revocation of Article 370 in 2019, he claimed that the region as a whole is seeing a tourism boom.Following the removal of 370, the arts and theatre industries are once again flourishing in Jammu and Kashmir.

Those who are solely familiar with Jammu and Kashmir’s recent past, according to social activist Dr. Bilal Bashir, believe that this is a troubled or contentious region. The youth of Kashmir can be seen in playgrounds today, and the same Kashmir is celebrating the fourth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370. “But Kashmir is a land that has borne the brunt of bloodshed in the past and emerged victorious and more stable and peaceful,” he said, adding that this land saw thousands of innocent deaths due to Pakistan sponsored terrorism in the last three to four decades.

It is important to recall that Kashmir has experienced unrest for many years. The unrest in Union Territory has had an impact on people’s daily life, particularly the youth who have had little possibilities for education, employment, and economic development. He added.

In recent years, there have been efforts to address the challenges faced by the youth of Jammu and Kashmir. The Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendera Modi has implemented a number of schemes and initiatives aimed at promoting the socio-economic development of the region, including the youth. For instance, the Government launched a special scholarship scheme for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to provide them with opportunities for education and skill development.

Farooq Ganderbali, a renowned peace activist and President of Voice for Peace and Justice in his address said that, Youth have a crucial part in determining how civilizations and the planet will develop in the future. The G20 understands how crucial it is to work with young people to advance social progress, global governance, and sustainable economic growth. Youth involvement and engagement in policymaking and decision-making processes has been emphasized by the G20. We in J&K are very appreciative of Prime Minister Narinder Modi for holding the G2O meeting in Kashmir. The G20 is aware of the substantial difficulties young people confront, such as unemployment, poverty, discrimination, limited access to healthcare and education, and social marginalization. In order to encourage the development and involvement of young, many G20 member countries have established policies and programs. As a result, the G20 has designated youth empowerment as a crucial priority area.

He added that the growth and engagement of the youth of Jammu and Kashmir might also be aided by foreign efforts and programs. For instance, youth-focused initiatives, exchange programs, and overseas scholarship programs can offer chances for education, skill development, and cross-cultural learning. Through business, social and political involvement, skill development, and education, youngsters in Jammu and Kashmir may support the growth of their nation. They can take part in regional and governmental processes, speak out for their rights and interests, and help create inclusive and peaceful communities.
